It’s that time of the year when I am busy with the ChiroBloom Elves making lists and checking them twice.
Most of those lists have to do with what comes next year! I get very excited just thinking about it.
I used to have a block around goal setting. All my emotions got in the way.
- Who I am to want this?
- How can I ever have this?
- When will I ever have time to do this?
It felt like a big exercise in potential frustration.
I feel differently these days. I used many tools over the last 5 years to help rework my inner noise. And I am sharing many of them with you here.
Hope you enjoy. Feel free to post your goals below or write to me with what your blocks to goal setting are.
I made a page last year with an accumulation of different goal setting strategies based on where you are at in YOU Relationship with goals.
Here are resources for the top ten things you might want to achieve this year:
1. Grow your income.
Well, that may mean a few things. Spend less. Charge more. See more patients. Create other income.
Here are the resources for all those things:
Food and I go way back. All my life there has been a bunch of noise about food in my life. There were starving kids in Africa that would have loved my meals as a child. The foods I loved were not great to be model thin as a teenager. I ate too little. I ate too much. I ate according to the blood diet, the low fat diet, the no card diet. I forgot ANY instinct I ever had about NOURISHMENT.
Please don’t be turned off by the mention of God in the title, it’s not religious book.It is about looking inside for your knowing. This book is a great first step for anyone who struggles with this all consuming issue.
3. Get Your @$#! Together
Some of you say you want to do more. Be More Organized. Make @#$! Happen. If that is true for you, get this book.
Just. Do. It.
5. Create Something New
Maybe it is a new practice. Or a podcast, blog. Perhaps it is YOUR new book. You must watch this if you have a hard time seeing things through.
I love Steven Pressfield’s body of work and found this interview helpful for my own resistance.
6. Better Family Time
Improve ALL your relationships with this course. It is packed with insight and sure to move you.
Are you feeling like you do NOT want to be featured on Jerry Springer? Try this instead.
7. Have More Fun.
Well as Ms. Piggy might say, ” You should spend more time with MOI!” I love fun. I schedule stupid time into my calendar and I watch cat videos. Sometimes videos of goats fainting. I used one of these videos for a team training and the doctor almost fainted. But believe it or not…I got the WHOLE teams attention and we all had a laugh while we learned an important point.
Here are some of my resources for laughing. They keep me going. Please send me what keeps your heart light as you wholeheartedly embrace your ability to improve the human experience.
Happy Wonderful New Year! May all you dreams come true.
These make me laugh because they remind me of the RIDICULOUS things people think and say about chiropractic.
Animals are funny. Especially when they have accents.
#Pranksgiving. Best Holiday Ever.
All my best to you and yours this New Year!
