First, thank you for being committed to helping people live better lives by serving up chiropractic on a platter in your community. It isn’t always easy. Most of us came to this profession to help others. We want to make a difference. And when we get into practice, we can hit a few road bumps. There are so many skills to master. Becoming a CEO, a manager, a sales force, a marketing department and continuing to hone this craft of chiropractic.<
It is the greatest work we can do. To stretch beyond the limits of who we thought we were in order to become who we are meant to be. I often think of many years ago when we moved into our home, we bought hundreds of tulip bulbs. Yes, hundreds. I bought them. In my poetic imagination, I saw us running through tulip fields like Dorothy and her friends in the poppy fields. I brought them home and my realistic husband and sons began asking practical questions. Where are you going to plant all those? How do you keep deer away? WHO is going to plant all of them? And suddenly, the wind was out of my sails and and I was not floating in flowers but diggin’ in dirty details.
Your practice is often the same. You start with lofty goals and bubbles of happiness and get hit with gritty deets like rent, payroll, staff meetings, etc. I am here to help. This missive of inbox love is here to give you resources, support, encouragement and entertainment….cuz I like to have fun in all this! So look out for me, ok? I’m going to hit up your inbox every other week and bring you some goodies. Cuz you deserve it.
To your bloomin’ life,
PS. Here’s too much information you NEVER wanted to know about tulips and deer. It turns out that you can buy fox urine at the garden center. Yes, it comes in a container….and you can spray it around to protect your gardens from other critters. And YES, I did stand at the garden center for a LONG time after hearing this wondering HOW to ask questions about who collects the fox urine and gets in in the bottle. My boys were very relieved that I kept that inside my head.
